Aunty Em is feeling sad. Brenda Ford won't take her peace offering. All "Aunty Em" Naeole did was call Ford a "donkey" during a public meeting.
Journal may come back to life
OK, candidates, never mind for now. Peter Serafin called this morning to say he and his staff are hoping and planning to have some kind of publication out next month in the wake of the Hawaii Island Journal's recent demise.
Journal meeting missed over agenda snafu
I wanted to hear the discussion of the Hawaii Island Journal's demise but the meeting time announced by Tiffany Hunt when she posted the agenda here was 9:30 a.m. I then wrote a post about the meeting with the time included here. But the actual time of the meeting was 8:30 a.m., which I found out while walking from my office to the County Building at about 9:25 this morning.

Tiffany Hunt of Councilwoman Emily Naeole's office reminds us of the Hawaii Community College classes that are coming to Puna. This really is a significant development, the result of Naeole's collaboration with HCC Chancellor Rockne Freitas and project coordinator Trina Nahm-Trijo.
