Pilago leads Higa in WHT survey

West Hawaii Today is currently conducting a Web site survey on the Hawaii County mayor's race. A few moments ago I checked the results and, not surprisingly, West Hawaii Councilman Angel Pilago is leading but with less than half the votes -- 476, or 46 percent of the total.

What's surprising is that Stacy Higa is second  with 187 votes (18 percent), and more surprising is that Lorraine Inouye is fourth with only 4 percent (45 votes). "None of the above" and "Undecided/Not sure" each got 7 percent. Billy Kenoi is third with 165 votes (16 percent).

I'm not sure how long the newspaper keeps these surveys on its Web site, so if you want to make your mark, better do it soon. Thanks to Aaron Stene for the tip.

I think what that says is that on this side, being an outlyer to the current adminstration is looked on favorably.
