Sunday lunch with Sister Rosita

The community is invited to lunch on Sunday with Sister Rosita Aranita, who recently returned to Hawaii from a harrowing experience in Kenya, where she was forced to flee the violent political uprising over disputed elections in the country.

Sister Rosita, who was a missionary in Puna for many years, plans to return to Kenya soon to continue her work on the Kenya Water Project. Meanwhile she is hoping to see as many old friends and acquaintances as possible and Sunday's luncheon will be a good opportunity. It is free and open to all starting at 1 p.m. at Avery Hall next to the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
