The 'best-connected journalist' in Puna.
-- Hawaii Island Journal

The owner

I was a reporter for close to 17 years at the Hawaii Tribune-Herald until October 2005, when I joined the growing ranks of union leaders now formerly employed by the newspaper. (For more about what's happening at the Tribune-Herald, check out the Hawaii Newspaper Guild web site.) Since then I've been the Hilo unit representative for the Guild, a freelance writer, photographer, and blogger.  Puna has been my family's home since 1993.

Tech tip: Subscribe with an RSS feed

Readers may now subscribe to hunterbishop.com with their RSS feeds. A reader informed me recently that my feed was not working for the blog and I don’t know how long it’s been down. But it’s fixed now and these feeds are an easy and efficient way to see when your favorite blogs and Web sites are updated with new content without clicking through to each site. You just have to install a free RSS feed service, sometimes also called a news aggregator, then click on the little orange feed buttons on each site you like to stay current with. On this blog, they are available under the Navigation section in the left-hand column of the page. Just click on “RSS feeds.” Here's a link to some more info on feeds.

No fairy tales or data just 2+2= 4 where did Sierra club file suit, which island has most rich and famous with time to play Sierra club, who has the most traffic and harbour problems who has the most whales collision, who has the most cruise ship congistion MAUI.
I lived in Lahaina in 67 when the first crusie ship arrived and was all down hill from then. Read the Maui mayors task force report on cruise ships. Maui does not want any more anything period. Much the same for Kauai. But no shipping company or airline has done a eis. Theres nothing in hrs 343. If EA says EIS needed SC has a hard sell,. GD
