A beautiful Sunday morning in Puna

erniecruz_edited-1.jpgOne of the best things about Sunday mornings at the Makuu Farmers Market, aside from seeing so many friends and all the terrific food, is the great live music.

I'd gotten used to hearing the beautiful voice of Penny Madamba who's been a regular feature at the market for so many Sundays, but the last couple of weeks the Waimea Cowboy himself, Ernie Cruz Sr., and several of his talented friends have been livening up the place with Cruz's terrific Hawaii Country music stylings.

I can't think of many better ways to while away a beautiful Sunday morning in Puna. What a treat. Ernie Sr. has spawned a whole family of popular Hawaiian entertainers and has his own Web site where you can sample his music at erniecruzsr.com. Check it out.
