"Don't let it sit and sizzle."

It's like an MTV show: "Viva la Bam does Pele."

Watch this crazy video from Lava Ocean Adventures whose extreme lava tours out of Pohoiki have sparked lively debate on  Punaweb and  TripAdvisor. LOA's Shane Turpin opened shop  with a DLNR license in January, according to his Web site, and is offering headbanger-style cruises to the lava ocean entry sites where you can do things like jump in for a swim and risk being poached alive. Somebody on one of his promo videos fishes a lava  chunk out of the water like a coconut and struggles to open iit up to reveal its sizzling red molten core. "Is it hot, man?" asks someone devoid of cognitive skills.

But save the best quote for the helpful captain, who warns, "if you get hot lava on ya, shake it off. Don't let it sit and sizzle."

Discretion advised.

One big whiff of sulfer fumes into someone's sensitive lungs could be a real nightmare not to mention sizzling lava on someone's skin. But they've been doing it 20 years so he says, so maybe they know-it-all and have planned for all of the "what ifs." Pretty stupid, IMO.
