The Friends of Lorraine R. Inouye for Mayor will hold a birthday fundraiser from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 19, at Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Lu’au Hale in Hilo.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature great food and other refreshments; and entertainment from “Russell Mauga & Friends” and “Piggy & Friends.” Former Police Chief Victor Vierra will serve as master of ceremonies.
“We invite the public to join us to celebrate Senator Inouye’s birthday and her candidacy for Mayor. Donations are appreciated,” said Dan Sakai and Charmaine Kamaka, co-chairs.
Inouye filed her nomination papers for County Mayor on May 12. The primary election will be held September 20.
